About Mainstay Inn Bed and Breakfast, history of this Hamptons vacation getaway in Southampton, Long Island, New York (NY)

Elizabeth Main has owned this charming Southampton bed and breakfast for more than 17 years. She has lovingly restored and decorated the l870 house with the intent of recapturing the easy, elegance that typifies Southampton.

The house is situated on a private acre on historic Hill Street within walking and biking distance of the ocean the bay and the world famous Shinnecock, Sebonac and   National Golf Links as well as the heart of Southampton Village
The grounds are landscaped with English flower gardens and a natural arbor to create a country haven. A 20x40 in ground pool is also hidden in the gardens.
